    In this Ramadan podcast, educator abu taubah Mukhlis will read from the English translation of Tafsir ibn Kathir. Imam Abu al-Fida Imad-ud-din Ismaa'eel ibn Umar al-Qurashi al-Busrawi, known as ibn Kathir, was born around 701 AH. He learned from ibn Taymiyyah and al-Dhahabi. abu taubah hails from a family of educators. His father, Clarence Alonzo Robertson was the founding vice-president of Medgar Evers College, his mother, Mable Robertson a retired Principal, and former president of ABENY the Association of Black Educators of New York; is still a board member of NABSE the National Assoc. of Black School Educators. Not only that, one of his uncles, Pickens Patterson, is a co-founder of the Harvard Black Law students association, and another Billy Patterson retired as the full Professor of Literature at New York University. Two of his aunts are also retired principals and the list goes on.
