Forgiveness Choices – Something’s Gotta Go, #647

Your Ultimate Life with Kellan Fluckiger - A podcast by Kellan Fluckiger

In this episode, we come face to face with the reality of the choices this process involves. You can’t forgive and cling to the old feelings. If you were the perpetrator of the painful things, you can pretend to forgive and still harbor deep resentment towards yourself. The deeper you hide it, the worse the decay. Realize that letting go of the anger, fear, or self-loathing is not a repudiation of what happened. Instead, it is a choice to end the power it has over you. If someone hurts you and your carry the anger, that deep continues to hurt you in the present. On the other hand, if you did things wrong, continuing in guilt, rumination, and self-loathing prevents you from growing and becoming the light you could be.
