Our final WTFinland! episode this spring brought broad and rich information about buying real estate property in Finland. 🏘 Joni Tapio answered questions about the possibility of immigrants buying property in Finland, how the process goes, and what elements must be observed when choosing the best option for different profiles, among other sub-topics. The discussion was enriched by the contributions offered by our dear participants Anu Kuusela, Hiljahenna Tomminen and Tomi Juurinen. 🙏 My own two main conclusions from the discussion were: 1. Do not rush when buying real estate in Finland; 2. having a real estate broker helps a lot in making an educated decision. For those who missed the live session, here's the link to the recording: https://lnkd.in/g_ZuxAZJ Thank you all (Elina Ylönen included) for making the first season of WTFinland! possible and useful. See you in autumn! 🍂 Some links to investigate the subject further are below. - Purchasing a home - Suomi.fi: https://lnkd.in/grEFE9CU - Finding a right-of-occupancy home - Suomi.fi: https://lnkd.in/g_e3Wsqi When you live in a right-of-occupancy housing, you control your dwelling but do not own it. COMMENTS: - If your rented apartment is sold and you have lived in it for more than a year your notice time is 6 months. - Asumisoikeusasunto – Right of occupancy: When you want to find a home, different options are available in different life situations. Reasonably priced student and youth housing are available to students and young people in working life. (www.suomi.fi) - Don't rush with the renovation. Live in your house for a year before you start spending. Then you know what is really bugging you and needs renovation. #lifeinfinland #realestateinfinland #buypropertyinfinland #talentboost #wtfinland!
