As a vet, how many cases of animal abuse do you think you've seen that were presented as (say) HBC or 'hit by car'? Perhaps a better question might be - how many have you missed? And was the client really telling the whole story? - after all they may well have been the other 'victim' of what is increasingly becoming more common here in Australia. Violence against animals at home almost always has a link to domestic violence in those same human relationships.
