Paul Kisho Stern: No Separation
Upaya Zen Center's Dharma Podcast - A podcast by Joan Halifax | Zen Buddhist Teacher Upaya Abbot - Sundays

Roshi Paul Kisho Stern, founding teacher of Dharma River Manitou Center, talks about how our sense of separation from each other and our environment is a matter of our perspective. Through embodied practices of intimacy with our own minds, such as zazen, we cultivate perspectival flexibility. We realize, as Dogen put it, shinzo: the ever-intimate, interrelatedness of all creation. And this sense of intimacy, says Kisho, is how we “reclaim our world,” engaging life in an energized, creative, and compassionate way.
