In the midst of these poems of awakening Kathie picks on an important interpretation of meditation as ‘focusing of the heart’, a beautiful image of cultivating compassionate wisdom. Sensei Fischer switches the conversation over to modern issues of politics and population openly discussing with participants what it means to practice in the current social climate with a focused and open heart.
