May, 1998. Married couple and keen mountain climbers, American Francys Arsentiev and Russian Sergei Arsentiev, attempt to reach the summit of Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen. If she achieved this, Francys would be the first American woman in history to do so. Francys Arsentiev would soon join the hundreds of bodies forever frozen in time on the world’s tallest mountain. Sergei Arsentiev’s body has never been found. This is the story of the “Sleeping Beauty of Everest”.
