Paddy O’Leary Interview

Ultrarunnerpodcast.com - A podcast by Eric Schranz

You’re going to like Paddy O’Leary.  Paddy came to the US three years ago as a scientist who played lacrosse, but has transformed into a formidable trail runner who’ll be testing himself at his first fifty miler in December. Paddy ran his first half marathon on a whim (and all because of a rugby match gone wrong) and did great. Next up…trail race. Nailed it.  50k…great.  Beer mile…a 6:33!  Paddy’s been training for North Face Endurance Championship 50 miler and is expected to have a solid race.  I’m anxious to hear from him afterwards and find out what he learned. We also chat about the November Project, Shane MacGowan, and what it’s like being a paintball referee. Episode Notes: Sponsored by Mendocino Coast 50k.  Some of the most beautiful trails in the world. Rivers, oceans, ferns, beer, forest, redwoods, waterfalls…Hope to see some of you in April on the North Coast. This should be awesome. Here’s more on the November Project. And here’s a great video of the SF group.
