Ross Hill is a voice actor with an interesting story to tell. Initially working as a designer and animator, recruiting voice talent for his clients’ projects in London, he took the opportunity to switch sides and get behind the glass and behind the mic himself.  Having decided to try voice acting he set himself up on the platform Fiverr with the aim of accessing some scripts to get some practice, to improve his technique and improve his delivery. But it didn’t stop there. He worked on other ‘pay to play’ sites as well as for private clients but he believes his niche means it works for him to stay on Fiverr.   Which some might find controversial!  Across the industry Fiverr has a notorious image as being somewhere of variable quality and poor rates so why would a voice actor prioritise their presence there? Well it’s possible to deliver high quality in a really efficient way and get high volumes of work. Ross knows that he’s not working to industry rates but believes that voice overs should be accessible for all and not just to clients who can pay higher rates. Projects with low budgets need to have quality voices and there is a place for people to access more affordable options.  Get stuck into this episode to get an insider's perspective of working on Fiverr and dispel some myths! There are renowned iconic brands choosing to book voice actors and paying industry rates through the platform. It’s not just work for a fiver on Fiverr.  Are you ready to take your voiceover career to the next level?
