Kimber Olson is a board certified, licensed clinical social worker. Her 20 years of mental health experience includes work in outpatient, school-based, home-based and hospital-based settings, community health development coordination, and long-term residential treatment.

Kimber has worked extensively in village Alaska and in Indian Country, and is currently in private practice in Anchorage, Alaska, where she specializes in the treatment of complex trauma and dissociation with both children and adults.

Kimber has taught at branch of the University of Alaska, and has provided trainings nationally and internationally, teaching professionals in the areas of trauma, sexual abuse, attachment, dissociation, ethics, vicarious trauma and eating disorders among others.

Kimber is the co-author with Peggy Ellen Kleinleder of a book for young adults tiled The Thursday Group: A Story and Information for Girls Healing from Sexual Abuse, and co-author with Diane Payne and Jared Parrish of Pathway to Hope: an Indigenous Approach to Healing Child Sexual Abuse (International Circumpolar Health Journal, 2013).  She is currently working on her third book, Non-posessive love. A tale of countertransference, dissociative attunement, resiliency and growth.
