Thais Hunter is both a striving educator and an aspiring author. She holds a Master's degree in Special Education and is currently serving as a K-12 Professionally Licensed Special Educator. Her journey in this profession began as a young volunteer for the AmeriCorps as a Lasallian Volunteer in Philadelphia, PA. The experience was so fulfilling that it's now been 10 years working with K-12 students, helping them grow into mature adults. So where does writing fit into all of this? It was amid the 2020 Pandemic that she observed how his students were fighting demons of their own. She wanted to find a way to reach out a helping hand to all those children who felt at a loss due to virtual classes not just academically but also socially. Her first publication - The Day We Didn't Go Back To School- was well received and appreciated by the audience.Hunter's books are a way to tell children all around the world that it's okay to feel like they've been let down because only when you reach the bottom can you start your journey back up. She wants her books to be a catalyst for them to find their way to the surface. A means for them to know that they're not alone in any way, even if they can no longer meet with her physically.Thais is presently living in Memphis, TN, trying to make a difference in the lives of as many children and students as she can.
