Since working from home has become more widespread in the UK workforce, 3 out of ten of us are now taking more time than ever before to enjoy an exciting and nutritious start to the day - even getting up earlier to ensure we have the time to enjoy a fulfilling breakfast.48% of people have recognised the importance of eating breakfast at home since the start of the pandemic, with 39% now enjoying the benefit of more time to create a healthy meal to start the day on the right tone.In fact, more than half of people (56%) admit to their morning routines changing for the better in the last two years, with just over two thirds (68%) suggesting they want to continue their new breakfast habits as we continue towards a return to normality.Research by renowned bagel makers, New York Bakery, has taken a detailed look at the UK's breakfast habits, to find out what fuels the start of the day for people in the UK. Data shows that over a quarter of Brits (27%) eat the same breakfast five days a week.With more people now opting to return to the office, 60% of us still have our breakfast before leaving our homes in the morning, with 11% preferring to enjoy the first meal of the day at their place of work.When it comes to what we eat for breakfast, scrambled eggs (20%) came out on top as the most popular breakfast choice, with the full-English fry up (19%) and a bagel (13%) also representing the trendy options for breakfast.
