Sika Legends Bio: Beyond the Sika trophy photos, we are proud as punch to post online, there is an accompanying story we tell over and over to anyone who will listen. A legend, to be handed down as a hunting tale, to be told over a campfire by the next generation. Hopeful they will soon, too, have their own story to tell and be looked up to as a legend by the youth following in their footsteps. There is a passion, an obsession with this elusive species of deer that many of us know all too well. On top of the meat and trophy hunters, there are people who are dedicated to researching the Central North Island Herd, various efforts by deerstalkers to manage and protect the same herd. We want to share those stories.  We want to share the history. We are working our fingers to the bone to bring you something of a Sika hunting bible, but to begin, we have been collecting these legends, these stories, from the younger generation of hunters.
