How to build a cult-like following for your business with Forecite Helmet's Alfred Boyadgis | #601

The Small Business Big Marketing Podcast with Tim Reid - A podcast by Tim Reid

In 2013, industrial designer Alfred Boyages had (in his own words) a seriously lucky motorcycle accident. Whilst recovering from a banged-up knee, he conceptualised the idea of a smart helmet; one that could help riders foresee what’s up ahead. Now all he needed was an army or riders to help him perfect it. Forecite Helmets was born and to this day, has a cult-like following. It’s a super smart episode 601 of The (13 year-old, award-winning) Small Business Big Marketing podcast.    A little more about Forcite Helmets' Alfred Boyadgis Like so many brands, industrial designer Alfred Boyadgis' business was born out of an unfortunate first-hand experience. In 2013, he took a slide on his Yamaha while riding through an oil slick, seriously injuring his knee.  With a keen interest in wearable technologies, and given the availability of sophisticated tracking technology, Alfred was convinced that there must be a way to combine these to allow motorcycle riders to foresee upcoming hazards, enabling them to take evasive action before they became a danger. So, far from being the end of a journey, Alfred’s “lucky accident” sparked a new one. He teamed up with fellow graduate, Julian Chow, and sharing a mutual passion for motorcycle culture as well as innovative design, the pair brought to life the first iteration of what would become the Forcite MK1 smart motorcycle helmet. And a very sexy beast it is! All they needed now was an army of riders to help them perfect it. And they got that in spades, with the Forcite Helmet brand now having a cult-like following. We start off with Alfred taking us inside the mind of a motorcycle rider …   Resources mentioned in this episode of your favorite marketing podcast Forcite Helmets' facebook community Join thousands of motivated business owners in The Small Business Big Marketing Tribe on Facebook Interview with Gripsox founder Luke Goodwin   Services every business owner needs that Timbo recommends How to generate organic traffic to your website(without spending anything on advertising) High converting website designers(They built this website - take this simple quiz and see where yours needs improving) DIY SEO training - The most cost-effective way to get on page 1 of Google(20% off with discount code Timbo20) Proven customer attraction strategy(and ridiculously cheap) The Boomerang EffectTimbo's book on how and why to create helpful marketing    Businesses that made this podcast possible (please support them) DELL Technologies - Small business solutions Studio 1 Design - High converting website designers Fun Escapes - Proven customer attraction ideas Studio Hawk - DIY SEO training (discount code Timbo20 for 20% off)   Thanks for tuning in.
