How to Know if Magic is Real

On the Secret Witch Show today our guest is Dean Radin. Dean is Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), Associated Distinguished Professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), and chairman of the biotech company, Cognigenics. He has earned a Masters (in electrical engineering) and a PhD (in psychology), and in 2022 was awarded an Honorary DSc (doctor of science) from the Swami Vivekananda University in Bangalore, India (an institution of higher learning accredited by the Indian government and specializing in yoga practice and research). He is author or coauthor of some 300 scientific and popular articles, four dozen book chapters, and nine books, four of which have been translated into 15 foreign languages: including “Real Magic”. In this episode we explore the key question at the forefront of every Secret Witch’s mind: is magic actually real - and can magic really be measured by science (and is it even helpful to measure it that way)? And still, it can also be powerfully used for healing. Magic should be harnessed with ethics - love is the law, love under will - conscious and intentional use of healing is so important for magical ones It is both important and possible to measure magic with science - even if some aspects of magic cannot yet be measured as we’d like. Science is advancing to meet the measuring of magic and, in the future, so much more will be discovered - it is a really exciting time to be studying magic in the world Dean’s research is advancing magic in all the ways - he’s even found that 94% of academic scientists and engineers will admit that they themselves have had at least one of twenty-five psychic experiences or abilities. At that point, the 6% that haven’t become the outlier! That’s mind-blowing evidence for magic being true.
