In this episode, we discuss new data that we have collected to show how many current active whole-home Airbnbs are available in each district of New Zealand. All up, we are seeing that Airbnbs are having very little impact on the rental market. Nation-wide about 12% of whole-home short term rentals have been taken off the market, and in the worst case, have only added a maximum of 3.25% supply to district-wide rental markets.
