Kate's two polar opposite journeys
The Positive Births NZ podcast - A podcast by Helen Bartrom

Kate's first birth involved a very long 5 day labour, where she admits she felt she wasn't ready to birth baby Oli and the circumstances that could have caused her to hold off with allowing the birth to progress. I'm also grateful that she is open to sharing about her significant post natal depression that occurred after - that it pushed her over the limit and what helped her. Her second pregnancy was a very different pregnancy experience, with a different mindset and renewed enthusiasm to have the birth she had wanted all along. We talk about baby who is in a breech position spontaneously turning at around 37 weeks (which just happens to be half an hour after she listened to my Breech baby turn hypnosis track). Then a relatively straight forward home, water birth for Niko. Kate talks about basking in the sun, in the pool and having an amazing experience, of it being 100% pain free because she is so in the zone. This is an episode of many different aspects of the pregnancy, birth and postnatal journey - the polar opposites and the good, the bad the ugly and the amazing.
