Janelle's VBAC, Home, Waterbirth to Kyla

Janelle was 45 years old when she gave birth and had previously, less than 2 years prior had her first baby by C-Section. She generously shares her time with us when her baby is only 19 days old, and says that she was inspired by other positive birth stories and wanted to share hers too. In this episode she shares her experience of attempting a natural birth with her son Ezra, born in Level 3 lockdown in 2020. The plans she had for this birth went out the window and she found herself in exactly the situation she hadn’t wanted and found it pretty difficult to be left alone in hospital after baby was born, as due to the restrictions her partner wasn’t allowed to stay with her. About a year later she finds herself pregnant again and prepared herself holistically. She shares how chiropractic work, naturopathy and preparing her mind helped her feel like she was in the best position to be able to birth her 2nd baby at home. Her birth ended up being very smooth and easy, beautiful, calm, and relaxed!
