Holly says she was terrified of birth before becoming pregnant, but with education and learning about how it could be, she planned for a straightforward birth and that is literally what she got. We talk to her only 8 days after George was born and she says it was a privilege to have been able to experience and feel the sensations of what her body could do. This is a pretty straightforward birth story, Holly goes into labour just before her due date, the only hiccup in their journey being that they turned up at Birthcare a little early, got recommended to return home and that's what they did. Therefore later on in labour when Holly instinctively knew she "needed" to get to Birthcare they returned. She used her breathing to focus on, felt like she went into a trance, experienced time distortion and then got into the rhythym of breathing baby down where he was born in the water.
