Hayley's hospital and breech homebirth stories

Hayley shares her two boys' births and her breech baby experiences. First baby Toby was breech in pregnancy but managed to turn near the end of pregnancy and his birth was fairly straight forward.  In her second pregnancy (during of 2021 ) things were different for her and she mentions  how the pandemic created anxiety. Her mantra became “if it’s not something I can control, don’t worry about it”. Hayley plans for a homebirth, and labour started while out at a picnic with toddler Toby climbing trees. Hayley was cool calm and collected, later that evening the midwife came to their home, Hayley was fully dilated and the midwife couldn’t find a head – it was a bottom instead that was coming on down. And baby Arlo was born smoothly not long after. Her midwife says it was a highlight for her to be at a breech home birth and Hayley's advise to all mums is believe in yourself, believe in your body.
