Eugenie's positive birth with pre-eclampsia, induction, epidural and c-section
The Positive Births NZ podcast - A podcast by Helen Bartrom

Categories:
Despite all that occurred in her birth journey that could have been perceived as traumatic, Eugenie reached out to me to ask to share her birth story while it was still fresh in her mind, because she says: "it was a positive birth and if I had to do it all again I would". We chat when baby Miles is just a week old, and you can find out just WHY she feels it was a positive birth. She shares her journey of high blood pressure which resulted in on and off diagnosis of pre eclampsia, her choice to be induced at 38 weeks. She tells us of her induction experience, the epidural and then having to choose to make her worst feared decision to have a c-section. Included in our chat are topics of anxiety, panic attacks, baby having bloods taken and jaundice. Trigger Warning: If any of the above topics are likely to trigger you then this is NOT an episode to listen to. However, if you are pregnant (or considering conception) and have fears and past trauma that could could be triggered through pregnancy and birth can I suggest you consider releasing it? In my hypnotherapy practise I do alot of work with releasing trauma from the body (and mind) and it can be a profound and effective exercise. Feel free to reach out for a free 15 min no obligation chat to find out more. email [email protected] to set up a time to chat.
