#21 Death, ego death, and embracing what is real

The Mothering Myself Podcast - A podcast by Susan Kinahan

We are continuing to 'mother' ourselves through our respective covid-19 experience. This week, we're talking about the hard things: death.  This conversation is expansive as we consider not only the death of those in our lives or the unavoidable truth that our time will come, but the death of our egos as we release outdated versions of ourselves and morph into our next iteration, becoming more of Who We Are.  Currently, the world that we have known is going through a collective ego-death as we continue to be shaken globally by covid-19 and the ripple effects.  As we consider death, we also consider rebirth on a personal and planetary level. As we witness ourselves and our systems dissolve, we refocus our attention on what it is we need and want.  This episode questions how we can surrender to the truth of ourselves and our experiences, getting real with ourselves rather than living shallowly at surface level.  We discuss the need to embrace ourselves so completely that we can love others in their entirety to create a new world that benefits all beings.  As we acknowledge our grief, we find our love. We know death to know life. We experience darkness to know light. Now is the time for us to explore ourselves and release what does not serve us.  Join our growing community on Instagram where we can connect in real time with one another: @motheringmyselfpodcast Get in touch + learn more here.
