Episode 22: Releasing Control

I’m leaving for the Amazon in a week! And with this big adventure on the horizon and knowing that I’m going to have fully surrender to this experience, I’ve been doing a lot of reflection on control and measuring success. For years (waaayyy before my tattoo career) I had measured success on metrics and the amount of money I could make. So I would be making these decisions that would only serve outcome and by doing so - my intentions were getting lost in the way. But my mindset has flipped. Now I am releasing the idea of outcome and I am not measuring my success on money or metrics, but basing it off how devoted I am to my craft. Whatever path I’m going down, is it coming from a devoted place? After all, the only thing you have control of in this life is your devotion and dedication. When you stay in the moment, remain intentional, alchemize your moves - THAT is where the success lies. Releasing control is going to allow me to channel these aspects of myself and explore more and more that is going. What is your measurement for success?
