Episode 11: Finding Community: Interview with Linda Torres

On this episode of The Mind of Reese, we have special guest Linda Torres - one of my InkSpired Academy students and intentional tattoo artist. We share our insight with the jump between the public shop to private studio and what come beyond that. We jump into her experience with InkSpired, why she took the leap of faith, and what wins she has seen since joining the InkSpired Community. The best thing she found through the program was finding community and making friends with other intentional tattooers. Making friends within the industry is hard, but through IA she was able to find the community of like-minded people who have been supportive and promoted growth within their own community. Sometimes you can feel alone in your self doubts - is my work good enough? Am I wrong for feeling this way? Am I on the right path? Having the community of other artists who are all in the same boat, or have been there themselves- it makes you feel heard and create a system of support. Through InkSpired, Linda has raised her prices, went down to working four days a week, does only 1 tattoo a day so that she can focus more on her designs and relationships with her clients.
