School attendance is again in decline, with less than half of students regularly attending. Education Ministry data shows 47% were regularly going to school in term two, down from 59.5% in term one. It's an increase on just 40% in term two last year. Secondary Principals Association President Vaughan Couillault told Mike Hosking that you can only compare like for like.
