Treasury has killed plans to include the cost of climate responsibilities on Government books. Former Climate Change Minister James Shaw wanted the $23 billion cost included. But Treasury says the sum doesn't meet generally accepted accounting methodology. Former Finance Minister Steven Joyce told Mike Hosking that including the cost would be purely political.
