Thirty-million users have signed up for Mark Zuckerberg's newly-launched Threads app on its first day. The owner of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp - Meta - has released its direct competitor to Elon Musk's Twitter, which offers a text-based version of Instagram. US correspondent Richard Arnold told Tim Dower this is a significant move from the Meta boss.
