Richard Arnold: US Correspondent on other countries' response to the fighting in Gaza

The Mike Hosking Breakfast - A podcast by Newstalk ZB

Dire is the word being used by the United Nations to describe the situation in Gaza as food and water runs out.  Israel says they've dropped around 6000 bombs on the enclave since the fighting with Hamas broke out.  The UK's confirmed a military support package for Israel, promising maritime patrol and surveillance planes.  And US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in the Middle East, vowing unending support to Israel.  US Correspondent Richard Arnold told Mike Hosking that Blinken called his visit 'overwhelming'.  He says it's as the death toll on both sides rises beyond 2,600, including 27 Americans.  LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
