A Labour Minister is coming to the defence of the Prime Minister, on unemployment stats. Chris Hipkins told the House yesterday the country had record-level unemployment, despite unemployment being higher than the previous quarter. Labour's Megan Woods told Mike Hosking the PM was making a point about how more people have jobs. She says unemployment is low. Woods also suggested National were more in the wrong, and that deputy Nicola Willis should carry a cleaning kit with her to sweep up Luxon's mistakes.
