A pay bump is on the way for Te Whatu Ora nurses and midwives - who've now accepted a collective offer. It means strikes planned for tomorrow will not be going ahead. The deal includes a pay increase, a lump sum payment and monetary recognition of the specialist nature of some roles. Nurses' Organisation CEO Paul Goulter told Mike Hosking the increase will attract nurses currently working in primary care into the hospitals, creating shortages in that space.
