Covid restrictions still feel like a handbrake for the hospitality industry. The Government is not changing the seven day isolation requirement for cases for at least two months. It's also asked for more work on whether testing to return to work for mild or asymptomatic cases, would be safe. Hospitality New Zealand Chief Executive Julie White told Tim Dower people need to be able to get back to work as soon as they can.
