Two new polls, released last night, show support for Labour has surged since Chris Hipkins took over from Jacinda Ardern as leader. In both polls, Labour is up about five points to 38 percent, and National is trailing by about one point. The National leader told Mike Hosking the scale of the poll change is a bit unexpected, but nothing has changed fundamentally in their approach.
