Jason T. Jacobson, MD, FHRS, Westchester Medical Center-New York Medical College, is joined by William H. Sauer, MD, FHRS, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Christian Thomas Ruff, MD, Brigham and Women's Hospital to discuss a meta-analysis of the 2 recent randomized controlled trials of oral anticoagulation vs aspirin and placebo for atrial high rate episodes detected by cardiac implanted electronic devices. The trials included are NOAH-AFNET6 and ARTESIA, which reported discordant results. When analyzed together, this study shows that anticoagulation does decrease embolic risk in this patient population.   https://www.hrsonline.org/education/TheLead https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.123.067512   Host Disclosure(s): J.
