Participation Trophies

It's a sign of the times that with everything that's crazy in our society today, we're giving our kids a way out. When I was growing up, there were only two things: winning and losing. Now I'm not here to say that you can't be gracious in victory or defeat, and I'm certainly not saying that there's nothing that can be learned in the process, but at least back then, we knew where we stand. If we won, it validated the hard work we put in. If we lost, it signified the need for improvement.  But today's kids can get trophies just for participating, and I'm NOT OKAY WITH IT!
