Episode 8: Controlling the Neutral Zone

The Hockey PDOcast - A podcast by Blue Wire

Corey Sznajder joined the show to discuss the release of his All Three Zones Project, which documents both the zone entry and zone exit data for all 30 NHL teams during the 2013-14 season. We parse through some of the more noteworthy findings, looking for a link between successfully entering the offensive zone and ultimately translating it into high possession rates. We also theorize about how much of it can be attributed to a coach's particular system, and what there is to be gleaned from team tendencies for breaking out of their own zone. All episodes of this podcast are available on both Soundcloud and iTunes for your listening pleasure. We’d appreciate if you took the time to not only subscribe, but also leave us a nice review.
