Minute 008: Who’s Townsend?

Thornhill is in the back of the Cadillac, surrounded by Licht and Valerian. “- can explain I’m being kidnapped?” asks Thornhill. “Well, that is what’s happening, isn’t it?” Valerian ignores him.Suddenly, Thornhill lunges for the door. He can’t open it. Turning to Valerian again, he says, “Locked?” Still no response from Valerian. The Cadillac eventually pulls into the driveway of a large estate. The name “TOWNSEND” appears on a sign at the end of the driveway. “Who’s Townsend?” asks Roger. No response. “Oh really? Interesting,” say Roger, sarcastically. Thornhill spies the Townsend mansion in the distance. The estate is set on a sprawling, enormous lawn, with a tree-lined lane leading up to the front door. The Cadillac pulls up to the front steps of the house.
