So there’s one word that I hear a lot in my line of work. The word “fear”. It’s all over the place. “Conquer your fears!” “Fear is destroying your life.” “Face your fears or lose everything.” And I get it. I really do. We’ve all had that experience when we do something that felt really scary at first, but we went ahead and did it anyway - usually to find out that it wasn’t so bad after all. But what about other fears? The “little” ones? You know, like spiders and the dark and “crunchy bugs” - those bugs that make a crunchy sound when you step on them (that’s one of my best friend’s fears). I mean, those are fears too, right? And they don’t destroy your life or make you “lose everything”. Fears run the gamut and they’re real. And, we all have them. Some are on the more annoying or inconvenient side, like having to take the stairs when you’re afraid of the elevator. Others can truly be crippling and obvious, like being too afraid to leave the house. In today’s episode, I hang out more in this last category of fears. The fears that are crippling but hidden, they’re sneaky little suckers and they will, in fact, rob you of your dreams, your wisdom, and your best next steps. So in today’s episode, I thought we could reframe this idea of ‘fears” together. Maybe there’s a better way to look at these fears. Find the full show notes at: https://sarahwalton.com/fear
