This is part 2 of a 2 part series. A Japanese bulk carrier ran aground on coral reefs of Mauritius on 25 July 2020. The ship began to leak fuel oil (nearly 4000 tonnes) in the following weeks. Our guest this week is Yuvan Beejadhur, a blue economy expert who has worked with the UN and the World Bank. Yuvan is also a Mauritian,  and in this episode, we discuss the oil spill that has had a devastating impact on marine life and the Mauritius Economy.
