It’s Christmastime as I record and as I celebrate what I consider the greatest gift ever offered to humankind, Jesus Christ, and as we honor the remembrance of His birth through gifting others whom we love, gifts are on my mind. FIVE WAYS TO MAXIMIZE THE GIFT OF LIFE YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN 1). Focus less on what you do and more on how your heart feels. -Connection -Contribution -Core values 2). Learn something new every day -Passionately curious -Press on – don’t judge your life by feeling by learning -Surround yourself with others who value learning 3). Ditch comparison for good -No one has a path like you have, so stop cheapening your experience of life by constantly comparing where you are to that of where someone else is. -Comparison is the thief of joy. -Compare and get nowhere. 4). Decide to give back and make your life matter. -Realize just how many people you can help (with your story, with your love, with your volunteering) -Step out of the state of pity-party mode (yes, life is hard, but it is for everyone, and thinking about it being hard doesn't make it easier – it just makes you more miserable) -Who we are is God’s gift to us, what we do with 5).
