EMOTION REGULATION
The CBT Podcast - A podcast by CBT Kenya

Emotion regulation is an ability to respond in constructive ways to intense or overwhelming emotions. It occurs when someone manages to keep strong or extreme emotions under wraps so they do not become overwhelming. Small squabbles and everyday stressors may still be felt very strongly but the person is able to respond in constructive ways . A person's ability to regulate emotions can lead to better social skills and lower stress levels. This can also raise a person's self-esteem because they will have greater confidence that they can cope with daily stressors and family problems. Looking for ways to manage your emotions?
