Woe is Me!

The Bible in 260 - A podcast by Albert Kooy

When you encounter the holy God, there is only one response that makes sense, "woe is me!" because, like Isaiah, we realize how unholy we are compared to God. And yet, as Isaiah experienced, God is willing to cleanse and forgive, to show mercy to those who admit they need to be forgiven. But as Jesus warns, woe to those who think they are good enough based on their own moral efforts and achievements. Passages in this episode: Isaiah 4-6, Matthew 23
