The Rejected King

Both passages from Isaiah and the Psalms speak of a promised King who will come to save his people, but who will be rejected by those very people. This is exactly what happened to Jesus as we read from Matthew 26 and shows us how great God's faithful love must be that he would come to rescue and forgive people who rejected him.
