Near & Far

A temple is a place where heaven and earth meet; a place where God and people can come near to each other. As Solomon built the temple of God in Jerusalem, people were anticipating the joy of having God be near to them. But sometimes, God doesn't feel like he is near, but rather that he feels far away.
