Choosing Life or Death

Sometimes people think Christianity is about choosing which laws or rituals to obey or follow, just like other religions. But the passages we read today tell us that both Moses and Jesus are saying the choice is whether to trust in God and obey him, which leads to life, or if you choose not to trust in God, to death.
