Lecturer in the sociology department at Rhodes University, Dr Thoko Siphungu reviews Dr Siphokazi Magadla’s book “Guerrillas and Combative Mothers" which is said to be of life history interviews which offers firsthand insights into women’s participation in the armed struggle against apartheid in South Africa from 1961 until 1994.
