ACSA Group Executive for Operations Management, Terrence Delemoney  explains how  3700 luggage were disrupted at O.R. Tambo; ACSA apologizes to the passengers impacted. The airline's operations have resumed, although they are still working on luggage reconciliation. There are still about 300 baggage that need to be matched with passengers. The airline was contacted by passengers who wanted to know if there was a delivery system and how to claim their missing bags. The luggage system at airports is entirely automated. Consumer expert Wendy Knowler stated that a passenger set to travel on an MSC cruise, was one of the fifty individuals impacted by the baggage mishap. This family was particularly impacted because their clothing, medication, and other belongings had to be abandoned at the airport due to misplaced parcels. The costs incurred by the impacted travelers as a result of their delayed travel present another difficulty.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
