Certified Financial Planner, Paul Roelofse answers a listener's question on the concerns of Banking on your mobile phone.Listener question: “Hi Mr RoelofsePlease can you cover this topic. With the growing danger of kidnapping in SA, many “security experts” suggest that we DON’T have banking apps on cellphones as this may result in Kidnappers keeping people longer to keep accessing funds using the app. BUT banks want me to use virtual cards and tap and go rather then physical cards. Ebucks now gives points for virtual card use over physical card use. What is the safest way to do this ESPECIALLY since I don’t have a NFC (near-field communication) abled phone. It seems like google pay/google wallet/Samsung Pay is the way to go. Any other options we can use. Any dangers here. Any pitfalls.  ThanksSanjay”See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
