1988 film “Mapantsula” remade and now showing in SA for the 1st time.

Film Writer & Director of Mapantsula, Oliver Schmitz on the story of Mapantsula a film that released called Mapantsula which was never shown in South African cinemas at the time because of its subject matter. The film was shown at major film festivals around the world at the time. The film is now being re-released and was chosen by the Berlin Film Festival this year’s Berlinale Classics, writer/director, Oliver Schmitz was given the final push to restore the controversial film he made during the anti-apartheid struggle in 1988.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
