The Blessing

Today's podcast topic is based off of a song by Elevation Worship and Kari Jobe titled "The Blessing". I have listened to this song multiple times, but today it just hit me different. Maybe it was actually reading the lyrics on the tv screen vs. listening to them but they took on a new meaning today. For weeks, our focus as a society has been the search for peace, comfort, and answering of questions. There is pain and suffering in the world and so many people are just looking for comfort.  But this song shifted my perspective. So today I don’t want to give you a “how to” of how to ask for peace, how to submit to God, how to feel better during this time. Today- I want to teach you how to speak blessings over your life. A manifestation of the future, how the future will be better than we can imagine. That God knows the plans he has for us! Let us thank God right now for what the future already holds. Thank you Lord for protecting us during these storms. Thank you Lord for continuing to provide even though I didn’t see it in the moment. Thank God for that future you see. Thank him for providing for tomorrow. Thank him for your health he is going to give, tomorrow. Thank you Lord for the business boom that is going to happen once you open back up. And say them out loud! Journal them. Put them on paper. Speak them outloud!Dear God, THANK YOU for your provision today and tomorrow!
