Keeping your actions in alignment with God’s word

I was torn with where to go with this podcast episode. If you are listening at a later date, right now this podcast is being recorded on 6/7/20, in the middle of a lot of discord with our nation. We just suffered a tragedy of the murder of George Floyd and it has sparks a national debate over racism. And honestly, with a social media and podcast platform, you question yourself. "Do I say anything on my platforms?” “What do I say?”. You’re afraid to say something wrong or incorrectly. And when there are a lot of uncertain questions like that, our human nature tends to just make up clam up. We tend to get really quiet because we would prefer quiet than saying something to offend anyone. I recognize that. So I really had to lean on God this week for if and what do I say. And I wanted to also make sure than my decisions and my sharing where based on His word, His truth, and not by what I was consuming on social media.That is what I want to discuss today. Let me guide you through your emotions and thoughts, and not tell you what to think or say, but instead help you focus on the truth of God’s word and allow Him to work through you. Allow Him to flow through your thoughts and words so you are grounded in Him. This won’t be so much me telling you what is right and wrong, how you should feel or not feeling, what you should post or not post. Just allowing God’s living word to speak to you. Be open to listening to God while I share some verses than have allowed me to shift my beliefs and my perspective , and be in alignment with God. I hope this podcast is something you needed today.
